Responsibilities
Perform precision TIG welding on stainless steel rotors, chambers, and related semiconductor tool assemblies
Fabricate, weld, and rework custom-engineered products and unique modifications
Clean, prepare, cut, and grind metals to ensure weld quality
Operate manual Bridgeport mills, engine lathes, drill presses, saws, and related fabrication equipment
Assist with part machining, light CNC operations, and prototype development
Support Poly Shop operations, including assembly, welding, and part fabrication
Work from engineering prints and geometric tolerancing specifications
Perform rotor balancing, stud welding, and related shop tasks as required
Collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Follow all shop safety procedures and maintain PPE compliance
Qualification
Required
4+ years of welding experience, with TIG welding proficiency required
Strong fabrication background with stainless steel and other metals
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Experience setting up and operating manual mills and lathes
Capable of working independently and handling short-run parts (1–3 pcs)
Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in shifting priorities
Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Preferred
CNC programming and operation knowledge a plus
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal welding program or in-company certification preferred
