The Real Estate Development Intern will engage in various projects supporting the company's mission, including budget reviews, financial analyses, and collaboration with multiple departments.

Responsibilities

Reviewing budgets, underwriting, and analyzing related economics

Assist with broker, developer, and tenant communications

Preparing and presenting financial analyses and reports to the Investment Committee

Managing Development pipeline updates & tracking and Quarterly Reporting

Analyze comparable properties and rents in Costar and other platforms to provide relevant market data for deal transactions

Gather market and trade area information and documents related to zoning, property taxes, demographics, easements and use restrictions

Effectively utilize the Marshall Valuation Services cost guide, existing budgets, and other tools to determine replacement costs of building and site improvements

Collaborate openly and effectively with the Acquisitions, Asset Management, Treasury, and Accounting teams

Provide support on department wide ad hoc initiatives

Required

Student who will be a rising Senior during the summer of 2026

Degree focus in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Architecture, or Construction

Minimum GPA of 3.2

Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint

Knowledge of MS Project, Smartsheet, or other work planning application

Critical thinker with the ability to synthesize complex information and conceptualize solutions

Ability to foster strong, collaborative relationships and communicate effectively with key stakeholders

Intellectually curious, excellent analytical, critical thinking skills with strong business acumen

An adaptive learner that displays excellent judgment and critical thinking skills which enable timely and appropriately risk balanced advice and guidance
