Quality Control Specialist- San Antonio AFB

Sheakley is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to support quality control operations on a new-build U.S. Air Force dormitory at Lackland Air Force Base. The role involves providing QC oversight for structural, mechanical, and electrical scopes while assisting with inspections and ensuring compliance with contract documents.

Responsibilities

Participate in QC and coordination meetings
Support all Three Phases of Control (Preparatory, Initial, Follow-Up)
Provide QC oversight for structural, mechanical, and electrical scopes
Assist with inspections, testing, and documentation
Support Government and Critical System Acceptance inspections
Verify work complies with contract documents and approved submittals
Coordinate with testing agencies and special inspectors
Maintain compliance with EM 385-1-1
Document QC activities and report findings to the QCM

Qualification

Required

Active CQM-C (Construction Quality Management for Contractors)
Graduate degree required
For Structural QC: Graduate Civil Engineer (Structural focus) or Construction Manager with 2 years of experience or 5 years supervising structural QC work
For Mechanical QC: Graduate Mechanical Engineer with 2 years of experience or 5 years supervising mechanical QC work
For Electrical QC: Graduate Electrical Engineer with 2 years of experience or 5 years supervising electrical QC work

Preferred

Candidates with the experience and qualifications to cover all three disciplines will receive strong preference during review
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a Structural focus
5+ years overseeing mechanical systems, including: HVAC systems, Plumbing and hydronic piping, Equipment installation, Testing and commissioning coordination
5+ years overseeing electrical systems, including: Power distribution, Switchgear and panel systems, Lighting systems, Fire alarm and low-voltage coordination, Electrical inspections and testing

Benefits

Per Diem: $125 per day
Pay: Weekly
