Start in 2026 SummerDairy Farmers of America is seeking a Summer 2026 Farm Practices Intern to assist in various aspects of their farm practices initiatives. The intern will be responsible for maintaining awareness of industry developments, evaluating data for reports, enhancing reporting tools, and supporting the implementation of the FARM Program.

Responsibilities
Maintain awareness of current news and developments in dairy, agricultural, and sustainability practices, and provide timely reports to various stakeholders
Evaluate data from DFA on-farm programs to develop reports and communications that outline findings
Refine and enhance reporting tools for on-farm program progress by integrating staff feedback, customizing for diverse audiences, and developing comprehensive user guides
Contribute to the implementation of the FARM Program by preparing materials and resources addressing common challenges, as well as training materials for field staff
Assist Farm Practices team members in the preparation and execution of meetings, events, and trade shows, as required
Participate in designated intern events, excursions, and community service initiatives
Qualification
Required
Enrolled in an undergraduate program with a degree focus in animal science
Enrolled in an undergraduate program with a degree focus in dairy science
Enrolled in an undergraduate program with a degree focus in agricultural business
Enrolled in an undergraduate program with a degree focus in agriculture communications
Enrolled in an undergraduate program with a degree focus in agricultural education
Enrolled in an undergraduate program with a degree focus in agricultural studies
Enrolled in an undergraduate program with a degree focus in pre-vet
Enrolled in an undergraduate program with a degree focus in other related fields
