Responsibilities

Operate factory processing equipment and mobile equipment to extract and crystallize sugar from beets
Perform pilot lab sampling and analysis to verify product quality and process health
Carry out mechanical inspections, adjustments, and troubleshooting to sustain peak operating conditions
Coordinate with supervisors to set up equipment for the desired processing rates and production quality standards
Tackle hands-on, physical tasks to keep the line safe, clean, and on schedule

Required

High School diploma or GED
Ability to read, write, and speak English to comprehend and interpret technical literature
Comfort using common tools
Demonstrated basic computer skills
Willingness and ability to work BOTH day and night shifts
Frequent standing, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, squatting/crouching/kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, and balancing
Lift up to 50 lbs independently and up to 100 lbs with assistance
Wear required Personal Protective Equipment, beard and hairnets, and appropriate clothing
Successful candidates will work BOTH day and night shift schedules

Mechanical troubleshooting skills
Food and beverage manufacturing
Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)
OSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10)
Quality control experience
