Trade Partner Development Lead

Closet Factory Colorado is the region’s leader in custom closets and home organization solutions, seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to lead efforts in building relationships with trade professionals. The role involves strategic prospecting, relationship management, and team leadership to generate and close high-value partnerships while mentoring a team of business development representatives.

Responsibilities

Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities with builders, designers, remodelers, and related professionals
Represent Closet Factory Colorado at networking events, trade shows, industry meetings, and community functions
Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads
Build and present tailored “closet program” proposals to potential partners
Negotiate agreements and terms to secure long-term partnerships
Work with clients to design comprehensive builder/trade partner programs, including pricing, processes, and service standards
Coordinate with design, production, and installation teams to ensure seamless delivery of contracted programs
Track program performance and adjust strategies as needed to meet or exceed client expectations
Lead, train, and mentor up to 6 business development representatives
Set clear goals, activity expectations, and accountability measures
Monitor team performance, provide regular feedback, and implement improvement plans when necessary
Oversee team outreach activities, ensuring they align with company standards and brand image
Develop and maintain weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on sales activity, lead conversion, and program success
Collaborate with ownership to set annual business development goals and budgets
Continuously refine business development strategies based on market trends and competitive analysis

Required

Proven track record of generating leads and closing B2B partnerships
Strong leadership and people management skills
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently
Proficient in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite
Willingness to travel locally for meetings and events (company vehicle provided or mileage reimbursed)

Preferred

5+ years of business development, sales, or account management experience (home improvement, building materials, or design-related industry preferred)
