Desktop Support Technician
Akkodis is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for a Contract with a client in Dickinson, ND. The role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop hardware and software while providing timely technical support to end-users.

Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, software, and peripherals to ensure smooth IT operations
Respond to and resolve technical support requests via phone, email, or in person, providing timely assistance to end-users
Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, networking, and software issues, including Windows OS and common desktop applications
Perform system upgrades and patches to maintain security and performance standards
Maintain accurate documentation of support activities, resolutions, and system configurations
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure system reliability and provide on-call support as required
Qualification
Required
Associate degree in Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Entry Level: 1–2 years in desktop support or IT helpdesk
Experienced: 4+ years in similar roles
Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and common desktop applications
Familiarity with networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively
