Project Director-Renewable Energy
Kimmel & Associates is a leader in Renewables & Sustainable Infrastructure, and they are seeking a highly experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of complex infrastructure programs. This role involves overseeing EPC partners and managing large-scale projects while ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives are met.

Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end project delivery from NTP through energization and operational handoff
Oversee EPC contractors and ensure adherence to contractual, safety, quality, schedule, and cost requirements
Manage a portfolio or program of concurrent large-scale infrastructure projects
Coordinate and integrate Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, and Water scopes across campus-level developments
Provide leadership on Medium and High Voltage infrastructure, including substations and grid interconnections
Enforce contract performance, including KPIs, liquidated damages (LDs), and long-term service agreements (LTSAs)
Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and client SLAs
Collaborate closely with internal development, engineering, operations, and executive teams
Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies across schedule, cost, and technical execution
Support commissioning, energization, and successful turnover to Operations teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
15+ years of experience in large-scale infrastructure project delivery, with 5+ years of recent experience in data centers, mission-critical, or other high-tech complex projects
Demonstrated experience delivering $100M+ projects or programs
Extensive hands-on experience in high hundreds of megawatts electrical and electro-mechanical systems
Strong background in Medium and High Voltage electrical construction, including substations
Experience with hyperscale data centers, mission-critical facilities, semiconductor, or utility-scale power projects
Proven ability to manage EPC partners, OEMs, and complex vendor ecosystems
Hands-on experience with protection & controls, EMS/SCADA, plant controllers, and power quality (PQ) troubleshooting (with expert third-party support as needed)
Strong understanding of SLAs for industrial or data center customers
Demonstrated success enforcing contract performance requirements, including KPIs and LDs
