Human Resources Manager
Lux Bus America is a recognized leader in the transportation and commuter services industry, seeking an accomplished Human Resources Manager to serve as a trusted partner to senior leadership and a champion for employees. This role involves providing strategic guidance and hands-on execution across all facets of human resources, ensuring compliance and fostering an inclusive culture.

Responsibilities
Partner with executives and department leaders to anticipate staffing needs and align workforce planning with business objectives
Develop innovative recruiting strategies, with an emphasis on building equitable pipelines and advancing underrepresented talent into leadership pathways
Establish succession and development frameworks for critical frontline positions (e.g., drivers, mechanics) to strengthen organizational resilience
Provide key recruiting metrics on hiring and turnover
Serve as a culture ambassador, driving initiatives that foster inclusion, accountability, psychological safety, and employee well-being
Launch wellness and engagement programs that enhance employee morale and retention across multiple sites
Build external partnerships with community organizations and nonprofits to align corporate social responsibility with employee participation
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, proactively identifying risk and implementing corrective strategies
Oversee investigations, grievance processes, and represent the organization at hearings when necessary
Continuously review, update, and enforce HR policies to reflect evolving legal and business needs
Lead HRIS governance, ensuring data integrity, accurate reporting, and scalable processes
Oversee benefits administration, open enrollment, and leave management with a focus on compliance and employee experience
Partner with Finance and Payroll to ensure accurate and timely transactions
Regularly provide metrics-based data on HR programs and initiatives
Assess division training needs and design leadership development programs for staff and drivers
Oversee onboarding and orientation to ensure alignment with organizational values
Guide managers in performance management, coaching, and succession planning to elevate leadership capabilities across the company
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; advanced HR certifications encouraged
Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 4 years in a management capacity
Strong communication and influencing skills
Excellent presentation skills
Highly collaborative style
Resourceful, inventive, self-motivated and able to independently lead
Ability to coach, mentor and advise where appropriate to help managers and employees grow and develop in alignment with business and personal goals
Impeccable judgment and ability to balance the needs of the company and employees alike
Strong project management leadership and skills
Comprehensive knowledge of employment and labor law, with strong experience in California highly preferred
Proven ability to influence senior leaders, navigate complex employee relations, and drive organizational change
Skilled communicator with the ability to inspire confidence and trust across all levels of the organization
Proficiency with HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
Advanced proficiency with Excel (Pivot tables, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume, multi-location operations while maintaining strategic focus
