They are seeking a full-time Staff Accountant to support the Accounting team with financial reporting, reconciliations, and audits while collaborating with internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

Process journal entries for various financial transactions and loan-related activities

Perform monthly account reconciliation and roll-forward procedures to ensure financial accuracy

Complete monthly bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies

Assist the Controller with:

Improving financial reporting

Completing monthly close processes

Consolidating financials with the parent company on a monthly basis

Auditing year-end financial statements and 401(k) plan

Fulfilling regulator audit requests

Reconcile commission applications to the loan origination system (LOS) and track commission advances

Prepare and manage the daily cash report and daily cash reconciliation

Support ad-hoc Accounting and financial projects, based on business needs
