Location & Azimuth Determining System Fielding & Retrofit Lead

Quattro Consulting, a part of Command Holdings, is seeking a Location and Azimuth Determining System (LADS) Fielding and Retrofit Lead responsible for managing LADS fielding and retrofit activities. The role involves coordinating with the PM-CAS Fielding Manager, training personnel, and ensuring all operations comply with certification standards.

Responsibilities

Ability to perform hardware, software and firmware upgrades on the M112 survey series to include system updates, product improvements, and refresh initiatives as required
Coordinate and execute initial fielding of capabilities to include, but not limited to, the M112 LADS
Train personnel identified by the Government on safe and correct operation and maintenance of LADS and associated equipment
Will be required to train initial instruction, retrofit instruction, and apply Modification Work Orders (MWO) and Maintenance Advisory Messages (MAM) to the system and associated equipment as required
Must have basic knowledge of survey methodology including establishing Survey Control Points, establishing Distant Aiming Points, moving survey control forward, fires procedures for Reconnaissance, Selection and Occupation of Position (RSOP), establishing firing points, gun laying procedures, establishing Orienting Station and End of Orienting Line
Ensuring team members are training on and are using the most current training material, student handouts, Operator Notes, Lesson Plans, Programs of Instructions, Maintenance Instruction, MWOs and training support packages
Final coordination and detailed planning with the unit being supported for Retrofit, Software Upgrades, associated training, and fielding. This includes coordination for classrooms, maintenance bay space, overhead projectors and screens
Ensuring daily and weekly functions/duties are carried out to certification standards
Ensuring all personnel and equipment are present for retrofit, training, and fielding
Tracking shipment of items required for the retrofit or fielding of systems where applicable
Ensuring that copies of all training materials are provided to the Unit
Maintaining disposition knowledge of replacement LRU’s and associated equipment to include equipment sign over and reception if applicable
Preparing and submitting daily reports during Retrofit or Fielding Activities
Managing and coordinating all Retrofit and Fielding Requirements
Possessing complete knowledge of all components and associated equipment in order to teach the courses
Demonstrating the ability to impart information to others in both classroom and practical training situations
Conducting training, installation, retrofit, repairs, and assistance on vehicles associated with the LADS platform
Performing equipment training in various locations, including OCONUS
Installing and/or verifying survey control points at fielding locations for utilization in training, maintenance, or system validation
Performing hardware and software upgrades on the LADS with the Maintenance Support Device variants
Possess the knowledge and ability to operate a laptop computer with MS Windows suite, execute programs in the OS environment, and be able to follow Technical Manual directed, mid-level complexity, and electronic troubleshooting procedures

Required

Direct operational experience on military survey systems including: direct experience with gun laying activities specific to field artillery systems
Direct experience establishing survey control points for field artillery systems
Minimum of 2 years formal instructor experience
Capability to travel to CONUS/OCONUS locations up to 80 percent
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Ability to pass a federal background investigation, including fingerprinting
Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus
Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications
Professional proficiency in English is required
Ability to access federal facilities in compliance with Real ID
