Responsibilities

Manage dental and medical insurance billing and reimbursement, including private insurers and managed care organizations

File dental insurance claims and pre-treatment estimates

Investigate denied claims, submit appeals, and follow up with insurance carriers

Verify and audit insurance documentation (EOBs, insurance cards, narratives, consents)

Ensure accuracy of billing, coding, and clinical documentation

Work extensively with insurance portals and maintain strong payer communication

Maintain HIPAA compliance and data confidentiality

Required

Strong knowledge of dental and medical terminology

Experience with dental procedural and diagnostic coding, including medical–dental cross-coding
