Responsibilities
Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor payments, payroll, and receivables while ensuring compliance with GAAP and applicable tax regulations
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (multiple entities), review, and analysis while ensuring compliance with GAAP. Verify accounting data accuracy, identity and correct errors
Perform reconciliation of GL Accounts (including bank reconciliations) and maintain accurate ledgers
Perform period-end accruals, allocations, and other closing functions
Maintain inventory and prepare adjustments
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local reporting and tax requirements, including preparation of sales tax, property tax and other compliances
Assist with fixed assets & lease accounting
Collaborate effectively with financial stakeholders and departments
Perform other accounting duties as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Minimum of 3-4 years of accounting experience
Experience with Sage Intacct and QuickBooks or similar applications
Familiar with 13-period calendar accrual
Strong excel skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred
Experience with multi-unit and intercompany transactions
Understanding of restaurant accounting principles, such as inventory management and cost of goods sold (COGS)
Preferred industries: restaurant, warehouse, & manufacturing
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
