Senior Vice President, Structured Finance

WelcomeLend is one of the fastest-growing middle market capital markets advisories, seeking a Senior Vice President of Structured Finance to join their US based Debt & Capital Markets team. This role involves independently sourcing, structuring, and closing complex commercial real estate financing transactions while building relationships with various stakeholders in the capital markets.

Responsibilities

Drive consistent deal origination by building and expanding long-term relationships with borrowers, sponsors, lenders, investors, and intermediaries
Develop and maintain a repeatable, institutional-grade book of business with recurring deal flow
Lead full-cycle debt and structured finance execution, including lender sourcing, capital stack structuring, underwriting, and placement
Design and negotiate financing solutions across senior debt, mezzanine, preferred equity, and structured capital
Provide clients with strategic guidance informed by real-time capital markets conditions, lender program criteria, and risk-return considerations
Advise on optimal execution strategies, pricing, structure, and timing across asset classes and geographies
Leverage technology, data-driven tools, and workflow automation to accelerate deal screening, underwriting, and execution
Maintain a disciplined, efficient process that supports high transaction volume without sacrificing quality

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of experience in commercial real estate capital markets, debt, or structured finance
Proven track record of closing institutional-scale transactions (individual deal sizes of $15MM+ and annual volume of $50MM+)
Deep fluency in capital stack structuring, underwriting, term sheet negotiation, and lender program criteria
Demonstrated ability to lead transactions end-to-end, from origination through closing

Preferred

Existing book of business with repeatable deal flow generating $75MM+ in annual volume
Experience raising programmatic or relationship-based capital (beyond one-off deal execution)
