Responsibilities

Lead business development focused on DoN contracts, including OTA awards, consortium memberships (e.g., TReX II, ATI), and Program Executive Office engagements
Build and manage strategic relationships with key DoN stakeholders (e.g., OPNAV N1, Chief of Naval Personnel, NAVWAR) to drive platform adoption and feedback loops
Develop and execute initial marketing strategies targeting military audiences, veteran organizations, and family support networks to achieve rapid user growth (goal: 10K+ active-duty users in Year 1)
Coordinate cross-functional efforts for DoN-specific features and pilot programs
Upon Phase 2 nationwide launch, oversee comprehensive social media strategy and high-profile television media campaigns to establish CarryOn as a household name
Support fundraising and investor outreach by articulating DoN traction and market potential

Required

Recent and in-depth contracting knowledge with the Department of the Navy, including government systems acquisition experience
Strong understanding of OPNAV N1 and Chief of Naval Personnel systems and organizational structure
Proven acquisitions experience, preferably with NAVWAR (Naval Information Warfare Systems Command) and Program Executive Offices (PEOs)
Familiarity with personnel systems and DoN procurement processes
Demonstrated success in business development, relationship-building, or marketing within defense/military contexts
Excellent communication and networking skills; active or recent security clearance a plus
Coachable, mission-aligned leader who is fully vested in the founder's vision to preserve wisdom, protect families, and ensure legacies CarryOn
