Responsibilities

Lead and perform manual functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing
Analyze complex business and system requirements related to Medicaid, CHIP, SNAP, and TANF
Design, review, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
Validate eligibility rules, benefit calculations, workflows, and reporting accuracy
Perform SQL-based data validation across multiple databases and systems
Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution
Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and QA teams
Provide guidance and mentoring to junior QA team members
Support release management and production deployments

Required

8+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance
Strong domain knowledge of Medicaid, CHIP, SNAP, and TANF programs
Extensive experience in manual testing
Advanced proficiency in SQL for backend data validation
Experience testing eligibility, benefits, or case management systems
Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred

Experience with healthcare or public benefits platforms
Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, ALM, or similar defect tracking systems
Experience in Agile and/or Waterfall environments
Prior experience leading or mentoring QA teams
