Entry-Level PLC/HMI Controls Engineer
Process Equipment and Controls is seeking an Entry-Level PLC/HMI Controls Engineer to help architect, program, and validate systems for modern manufacturing. In this role, you will learn from senior mentors and assist in translating project requirements into functional control designs.

Responsibilities
Translate project requirements into control designs and documentation
Assist senior engineers in defining control architectures and specifications
Program and configure PLCs and HMIs using ladder logic and/or structured text
Execute testing, debug issues, and verify control functionality against specs
Work alongside mechanical/electrical engineers and project managers to integrate systems
Record design details, test outcomes, and project updates with precision
Qualification
Required
Translate project requirements into control designs and documentation

Core concepts of control theory and industrial automation
This is an onsite role at our facility; remote work is not available
Expect minimal travel to customer jobsites when needed for installation, commissioning, or support
PLC programming and troubleshooting
HMI configuration
Electrical schematics and CAD workflows
120/208/240/480 VAC and high-voltage systems
Industrial robot programming exposure
CNC machine installation assistance
Troubleshooting industrial automation equipment
Electrical installation and verification
CAD Software (AutoCAD)
Preferred
One or more PLC languages (ladder logic, structured text)
How to read and create electrical schematics in EPLAN or AutoCAD—strong proficiency expected
Systematic troubleshooting and problem solving
Electrical/electronic systems, high-voltage safety, and practical installation practices
