Senior Project Manager (Operations)
Corporate Environmental Risk Management is a company focused on construction engineering projects, and they are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex projects and oversee the Mobile office operations. Responsibilities
Serve as Project Manager of Record for complex construction engineering projects, ensuring compliance with PE standards, contract requirements, and regulatory obligations
Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout of projects across transportation, utilities, site development, water/wastewater, or related construction engineering disciplines
Review and approve engineering deliverables, cost estimates, schedules, change orders, and technical reports
Provide constructability reviews and technical guidance during design and construction phases
Ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures, safety standards, and company policies
Oversee daily operations of the Mobile office, including staffing, workload planning, utilization, and resource allocation
Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Engineers, Inspectors, and support staff
Partner with HR and leadership on hiring, performance management, training, and succession planning
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and safety
Act as the primary escalation point for operational, staffing, and client issues within the office
Serve as a primary client contact for key accounts and public/private sector partners
Support business development efforts including proposal development, scope definition, fee negotiations, and client presentations
Identify growth opportunities within existing projects and regional markets
Represent the company in industry organizations, public meetings, and community engagements
Manage project budgets, forecasting, billing, and profitability
Ensure accurate project tracking, invoicing, and cost control
Support annual business planning and revenue forecasting for the Mobile office
Mitigate risk through proactive issue identification, documentation, and leadership communication
Qualification
Required
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (Alabama preferred or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe)
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related engineering discipline
5+ years of progressive experience in construction engineering, project management, or related infrastructure projects
Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering or construction teams
Strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts, scheduling, and cost control
Experience working with DOTs, municipalities, utilities, and/or industrial clients
