Senior Loan Operations Analyst

Prorec Resource Solutions, LLC is seeking a Senior Loan Operations Analyst to lead and oversee the business rules engine configuration process. The role involves translating complex business requirements into efficient rule designs, serving as a liaison between business partners and technical teams, and driving continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

Analyze and capture client needs by interviewing customers, probing for detail, and identifying true root requirements
Interact with clients to determine present and future needs and provide updates on solution progress
Manage new business initiatives including data mapping and understanding loan data received from external servicers
Lead or facilitate internal and external discussions on the technical elements required to convert new business onto the servicing platform
Review promissory notes, servicing guidelines, and amendments; provide unified feedback on system impacts
Serve as subject matter expert for configuring, maintaining, and quality assuring proprietary system tables
Recommend process improvements or enhancements for meeting client requests or deadlines
Participate in high-level discussions with external and internal stakeholders; gather statistics on client issues and coordinate reporting
Develop client communications relating to configuration or system issues and resolutions
Collaborate on escalated issues and ensure timely communication and resolution
Oversee configuration-related client projects and ensure accuracy across rule logic and system interactions
Utilize Agile values and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions
Conduct advanced research and analysis of client concerns and route issues to appropriate internal teams
Create and maintain analytics for configuration-related issue tracking and resolution
Conduct risk assessments
Document process practices, improvements, workflows, and procedures
Provide process and technical expertise, including SQL and advanced query tools
Create and execute complex queries to identify discrepancies, debug logic, and validate system outcomes
Identify and resolve root causes for production errors
Recommend workarounds or system changes and communicate impacts to internal and external users
Identify opportunities for system and process improvements and proactively recommend enhancements

Required

Ability to analyze data structures, file layouts, and schemas
Experience identifying data inconsistencies, gaps, and conversion logic
Understanding of downstream impacts when mapping or rule changes occur
Ability to validate mapping logic through testing
Ability to translate business requirements into logical rule designs
Understanding of decision tables and decision trees
Experience configuring and maintaining a business rules engine
Proficiency in SQL for validating rule outcomes, debugging issues, and analyzing data
Ability to create complex queries including joins and unions
Strong familiarity with relational database concepts and normalization
Ability to develop test scenarios and rule-based test cases
Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills
Ability to identify missing or conflicting requirements
Ability to break complex requirements into logical, testable components
Understanding of risks, dependencies, and unintended consequences
Proficiency with SQL tools, Confluence, JIRA, SharePoint, and Visio
Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, and logic functions
Strong verbal and written communication skills for translating technical details to non-technical stakeholders
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous requests in a fast-paced environment
