Responsibilities

Technical support for the Structures System, where you will partner with experienced engineers to work first order stress analysis, root cause analysis, engage in vendor support/relationship building, production delivery, and sustainment support

Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain individuals to foster open communication between customers and the team

Use collaboration skills that can accommodate our various partners across differing geographic locations

Required

Bachelors or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related technical/engineering discipline from an accredited college/university

Experience designing mechanical hardware

Knowledge of CAD modeling, drafting and release, and ASME Y14.5-1994 including GD&T and tolerance analyses

Familiarity of hardware manufacturing processes (machining, heat treatment, surface treatment, assembly, etc)

Knowledge of production support, integration, and/or qualification of hardware components

Exposure to or participation with failure investigations, root cause analysis, and/or corrective action disposition

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance

Preferred

Missile and/or aerospace related education or experience

Familiarity with composite design and/or manufacture experience

Working knowledge of Matlab, Creo, and/or EPDM

Model Based Engineering knowledge (using CAD model as record of authority)

Experience with THAAD processes and products

Risk and opportunity experience with an understanding of continuous improvement concepts
