Responsibilities

Assist in evaluating and writing utilization and cost containment reports

Mine data from appropriate system

Presents data and provides feedback to manager or more senior analysts

Provide data entry in support of senior analysts

Utilize existing standardized reports

Seek and adopt best practices in data reporting

Perform other relevant tasks as assigned by Management

Required

Tableau experience required

High School Diploma/GED required

Minimum 1 year of work experience in a related industry and experience working in data analytics and data science, including base proficiency in SQL, Excel, and Tableau

Organizational, Multitasking, Analytical Thinking and strong Interpersonal Skills, Attention to Detail, Data Validation

Horizon BCBSNJ employees must live in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut or Delaware

Preferred

Prefer Healthcare Data Systems background such as claims, case management platforms, risk stratifications, predictive modeling and quality metrics (HEDIS & NCQA)

Prefer data reporting experience

Strong PC skills

Prefer basic database management skills

Process Improvement - using data to identify workflow bottlenecks

Outcome measurements: using data to evaluate quality of care, efficiency and member progress

Experience presenting Data in a clear meaningful way (dashboards, charts, summaries)
