Operations Manager
Performance Contracting Group is a national employee-owned specialty contractor that offers quality services and products to the commercial, industrial, and non-residential construction markets. The Operations Manager will oversee commercial glass and glazing projects from conception to completion, managing business operations and ensuring profitable execution of work.

Responsibilities
Manage business unit in commercial glass and glazing operations in Indianapolis
Initiate and maintain customer contact which will enable securements and profitable execution of work
Direct and manage the construction activities of projects in this area of responsibility in order to maximize margin contribution results
Interpret and analyze contract documents regarding terms, specifications, clarifications and requirements for each project
Manage job site personnel in order to maintain effective relations with owner, engineers, utilities, subcontractors, contractors, unions, etc
Implement the corporate program regarding loss control and claims management pertaining to workers compensation
Analyze and monitor actual vs. estimated costs in order to develop action plans where unfavorable variances are detected. Ensure that an effective job control system is utilized on each project
Responsible to solicit the assistance of the estimating department when necessary in order to assure maximum bidding activity without sacrificing quality
Negotiate contract issues and variances and further negotiate change order, scope changes, claims and other project issues as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in construction science or construction management or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 7-10 years' experience as a project manager in the Glass and Glazing industry and 2-3 years' experience managing teams and processes
Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Word
A clear understanding of how to read and understand specifications and drawings
Good communication skills
Motivated self-starter willing to take initiative

Able to work in a team environment
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught
Clear understanding of safety needs specifically related to the glass and glazing industry
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, or related discipline
Experience with working with union representatives
OSHA Certification
Local to Indianapolis metro area is preferred but not required
