Casino Operation Intern

Ho-Chunk, Inc. is an award-winning economic development corporation of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska, and they are seeking a Casino Operations Intern for Summer 2026. The intern will support day-to-day casino operations by assisting leadership and operational teams with data analysis, reporting, compliance support, and process improvement initiatives, gaining hands-on exposure to casino operations and the gaming environment.

Responsibilities

Assist casino operations leadership with daily operational reporting and performance tracking
Analyze operational data related to gaming, guest experience, and staffing metrics
Support compliance and regulatory documentation in accordance with gaming requirements
Observe and assist with floor operations to gain exposure to casino departments and workflows
Assist with process improvement initiatives and special projects related to operations efficiency
Prepare reports and presentations for leadership review
Support cross-functional collaboration with departments such as Finance, HR, Security, and Marketing
Maintain confidentiality of all operational and organizational information
Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management

Required

Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field
Minimum GPA of 2.5
Must be at least 19 years of age
Strong interest in casino, hospitality, or gaming operations
Ability to pass a background check and obtain required gaming licenses or permits
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute
Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds as needed

Preferred

Valid driver's license and insurability under company policy

Benefits

Intern employees are classified as seasonal full-time employees and will accrue one hour of paid sick time for every 30 hours worked, beginning after 80 consecutive hours of employment in Nebraska.
