Family Services Program Manager

Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project is part of Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, Inc., one of the largest human services providers in California. The Family Services Program Manager oversees the Family Services component of a transitional housing program, ensuring high-quality, family-centered services and supporting families in achieving self-sufficiency and housing stability.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily program operations to ensure a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for children and their families
Maintain program schedules, family routines, and documentation systems with a high level of accuracy and organization
Ensure full compliance with agency policies, contractual obligations, and established program outcomes
Conduct regular wellness checks with families and ensure ongoing adherence to all health and safety protocols
Assist with data tracking and maintain accurate, up-to-date case files and administrative records
Provide trauma-informed, strengths-based support to families in transition
Conduct intakes, orientations, and needs assessments with compassion and professionalism
Develop individualized service plans (ISPs) to support family goals, including housing, employment, childcare, education, and wellness
Facilitate parent meetings, workshops, and coaching to enhance family stability and confidence
Offer strong client centered service in daily interactions, modeling patience, empathy, clarity, and professionalism
Collaborate with parents around child development needs and communicate consistently regarding progress and expectations
Assist with case management and may carry a small caseload, particularly supporting monolingual families, ensuring they access resources and services effectively
Provide leadership and guidance to program staff, volunteers, and interns
Support staff with coaching, training, and performance expectations
Coordinate with case management, clinical services, childcare, and partner programs to ensure seamless support for families
Foster a positive, team-oriented culture that emphasizes clear communication and respectful engagement
Attend case conferences, multidisciplinary team meetings, and required training to support client outcomes and continuous quality improvement
Build positive relationships with families, partner agencies, schools, and service providers
Support families in accessing external resources such as childcare, education programs, healthcare, and transportation
Represent Farley House at agency and community meetings as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field
Minimum of three years of experience working in child development, education, social services, family support and administration roles
An interest in providing case management and coordinating family services, including carrying a caseload, is highly valued
Strong communication skills, including the ability to engage with families in a respectful, compassionate manner
Excellent organizational, documentation, and time management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with diverse populations
Ability to work respectfully and effectively with families from diverse cultural, racial, gender, and socioeconomic backgrounds using cultural humility
Valid driver's license, access to reliable transportation, and successful completion of background checks required

Preferred

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, especially to support monolingual families
No prior experience in homeless services required; GSC provides training and support
