They are seeking a senior-level Engineering Support Technician to support flight operations, aircraft integration, and experimental flight research at NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center.

Responsibilities

Support flight operations processes, procedures, and safety requirements (NASA, AFRC, OSHA, Cal/OSHA)

Maintain working knowledge of assigned aircraft, UAS, experimental systems, and ground support equipment

Assist with project planning, requirements development, configuration control, and documentation

Support aircraft modifications, integration activities, and operational readiness

Assist with procurement support, supplier coordination, testing, and technical evaluations

Participate in configuration management, system safety, and airworthiness activities

Support development and maintenance of flight documentation (procedures, checklists, flight cards, CONOPS)

Assist with mission planning, flight test execution, and control room or ground station support

Produce and review electrical and aero-mechanical drawings as needed

Utilize solid modeling tools (e.g., Creo) to support design and integration work

Coordinate logistics and support activities for on-site and remote operations

Report technical issues, schedule impacts, and risks to project leadership

Required

Associate Degree

U.S. Citizen

Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance

10+ years of relevant technical experience with lead-level responsibilities or 15+ years of relevant technical experience supporting aerospace or flight operations programs

Strong experience supporting aircraft systems, flight operations, or experimental aerospace programs

Proficiency with solid modeling/CAD tools (experience with Creo required)

Ability to interpret technical requirements, procedures, and engineering documentation

Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Willingness to complete required training (flight line driving, control room access, emergency procedures)

Ability to execute a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)

Eligibility for a security clearance may be required
