Responsibilities

Lead a team of mortgage loan officers (MLOs) to achieve production goals

Recruit and hire best in market, qualified loan officers (MLO's)

Develop and implement sales strategies to drive business growth

Originate mortgage loans personally while coaching and mentoring team members

Collaborate with other members of Merchants Mortgage (Operations, Capital Markets, etc.) and business unit leaders to optimize efficiency and facilitate teamwork

Cultivate strong relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other industry partners

Provide exceptional service to borrowers, ensuring a smooth loan process

Address inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain positive client interactions

Identify market opportunities and stay informed about industry trends

Participate in community events and networking activities to promote our mortgage services

Contribute to the expansion of our customer base

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies

Monitor loan quality and adherence to underwriting guidelines

Collaborate with operations teams to streamline processes and achieve milestone tum times and expectations

Track loan production metrics, pipeline activity, and conversion rates

Regularly report performance to senior management
