The Associate Designer will play a key role in the design and development process, supporting seasonal line development, technical execution, and cross-functional collaboration to create commercially viable products that align with brand identity.

Responsibilities

Partner with the Senior Designer to develop and execute seasonal assortments tailored to wholesale and private label accounts

Assist in creating trend-right and brand-appropriate collections with consideration for customer demographics, pricing architecture, and margin targets

Support in the creation of mood boards, seasonal color palettes, print direction, and material selection

Translate trend research into commercial, wearable product ideas across multiple programs and retail channels

Produce detailed technical flats and presentation-ready CADs using Adobe Illustrator

Maintain and update design boards and seasonal line sheets throughout the development process

Create and manage design packages (tech packs), ensuring all necessary details are accurate and clearly communicated to Product Development and Technical Design teams

Participate in fittings and communicate design revisions based on technical feedback and fit outcomes

Collaborate with internal teams including Product Development, Technical Design, Sales, and Merchandising to ensure alignment across design intent and business goals

Engage with sourcing and vendor partners as needed to follow up on samples, material approvals, and development timelines

Partner with the sample room to oversee proto development and ensure proper execution of garment details

Conduct competitive market research and trend analysis with a focus on silhouettes, fabrics, color stories, and functional innovations specific to the intimate apparel market

Maintain awareness of customer feedback and retail performance data to inform design decisions

Required

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator and Photoshop

Strong understanding of garment construction, technical sketches, and fabric selection

Ability to research fashion trends and apply them to intimate designs

Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams

Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field

Preferred

1-3 years of experience in intimates or swimwear design
