Responsibilities

Set up and operate both manual and numerical control machines

Read and interpret blueprints and planning sheets to determine tooling requirements and setup procedures

Develop setup sheets and positioning fixtures to ensure accurate machining sequences

Download part programs from the shop's program storage and manipulate controls to start and monitor the machinery

Observe machine operations and address any malfunctions or inefficiencies, making suggestions for program adjustments to enhance quality and production

Machine various materials, deburr, clean parts, and maintain a safe and efficient workspace
