Accounting Clerk/Customer Service Rep. (Req 17526)
Pacific Coast Companies, Inc. is one of the largest manufacturers of concrete masonry products in the Western United States. The Accounting Clerk/Customer Service Rep is responsible for processing and verifying invoices, entering sales orders, preparing reports, and providing general clerical and front-desk support.

Responsibilities
Matches invoices to appropriate receiver tags (and purchase orders when applicable)
Reviews invoices for quantity and pricing accuracy and work to resolve discrepancies
Ensures that appropriate account coding is used
Creates POs for authorized purchases
Works with A/R to process customer credit memos
Develops working knowledge of all products and established procedures
Enters customer sales orders into SAP and excel and assists shipping and receiving department
Provides coverage at the front desk during employee meal and rest breaks
Prepare reports as necessary. Types correspondence generated by management and other staff. Packaging boxes for shipment
Maintains work area and equipment according to Company specifications for cleanliness and safety
Performs general office clerical duties as needed including, but not limited to, answering phones, filing/scanning paperwork
Performs all other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representative
Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected
Predictable, and regular attendance is required. Must be able to work overtime as needed
Qualification
Required
High school education or equivalent plus college level accounting
On-the-job training experience is required to be able to perform duties
Requires good reading, writing and mathematical skills
Ability to communicate with employees, peers, subordinates, management, customers, outside agencies, etc
Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, and Word
Ability to operate computer, printer, 10-key, copier, and any other equipment required to perform duties
Ability to work under minimal supervision and to stay on task
Predictable, and regular attendance is required. Must be able to work overtime as needed
Preferred
Five years' experience in collections and accounts receivable preferred
Proficiency in Excel is a plus
SAP knowledge a plus
