Responsibilities
Accompany providers and document patient encounters in the EHR
Capture patient history, physical exam findings, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans
Update patient information
Enter orders or referrals as directed
Monitor and inform the physician of lab results
Ensure medical record compliance with standards, policies, HIPAA, and Joint Commission guidelines
Prepare medical charts and documentation for review and approval
Assist with administrative tasks to improve patient flow and provider productivity
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred
College experience or a bachelor's in a healthcare-related field is preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is preferred
Proficiency with EHR systems preferred
