C2 Software Test Engineer
COLSA is seeking a C2 Software Test Engineer to join their test team, which conducts command and control testing on missile warning and space defense systems. The role involves providing technical leadership, conducting data analysis, and supporting developmental test and evaluation on various systems while working closely with senior engineers and team members.

Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership and frequently serves as the technical authority for Combatant Commanders Integrated Command and Control System (CCIC2S) Missile Warning, Missile Warning Missile Track (MWMT), Space Directed Energy Confliction (DECON), and other Space Command and Control (C2) systems, encompassing the Upgraded Early Warning Radar (UEWR), Cobra Dane, PARCS, among others
Conduct data analysis and apply knowledge of engineering technology under the direction of engineering staff. These tasks include test and evaluation, test support, logistics, sustainment, operations analyses, technical studies, and various analyses and support activities including program/system security
Assist in the development of system requirements, performance measures, test phase entry/exit criteria, and analysis of design constraints functional capabilities, and metrics
Support DT&E, Risk Reduction Testing (RRT) and certification for test readiness; identify deficiencies, verify compliance with specifications and standards, and assess stability of various system configurations
Support senior engineers when interacting with System Program Offices, other services, and development contractors
Prepare, execute, review, and analyze test plans, procedures, metrics, and reports throughout the software development life cycle. Develop and write methods of tests, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), test cases, test objectives/procedures, test directives, technical or letter reports, analysis and review of requirements, and other test process documents as required in the conduct of testing
Coordinate schedules, pre-and post-test activities, logistics of test planning, and test results
Travel up to 20% of time to contractors' facilities, test sites, and other locations (OCONUS and CONUS)
Qualification
Required
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: Bachelors Degree in a technical field with a minimum of 3 to 8 years of technical experience, Associates Degree in technical field with a minimum of 7 to 12 years of technical experience, High School Diploma (or equivalent) with a minimum of 10 to 16 years of experience
Relevant technical and testing experience on the following systems: CCIC2S, PDS-M, MARS, XGEN, Scenario Generation, SIGS, CPS, MWNS, MWMS, MWMT, and other missile warning systems
Ability to understand Missile Warning processing as defined in the Missile Warning Algorithm Document and develop scenarios to validate them
Ability to interface with prime contractors developing the system under test (SUT) regarding test objectives, schedules, budgets, and methods of test
Demonstrated ability to work effectively on a team and to lead and direct the work of others
Effective oral and written communications skills
Proficiency in the use and integration of MS Office applications
U.S. Citizenship required; Current and active DoD Secret Security clearance required with the ability to obtain DoD Top Secret security clearance
Preferred
Knowledge of, or experience with Program Management
Knowledge of, or experience with Air Force and Space Force Testing or other DoD test agency concepts, procedures and methodologies
Experience related to DOD C4ISR system acquisition, systems engineering, and test engineering
Experience interfacing with development contractors regarding test objectives, schedules, budgets, and methods of test
A current and active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance with Special Compartmented Information (SCI) access)
