Responsibilities
Act as a trusted advisor and business partner to the CEO
Participate in executive-level decision-making and long-term strategic planning
Provide financial insight and analysis to support operational and investment decisions
Lead company-wide cash flow management, forecasting, and liquidity planning
Oversee banking relationships, credit facilities, and capital allocation
Ensure strong internal controls and financial discipline across all entities
Oversee construction accounting, including job costing, WIP reporting, and project profitability
Manage project accounting for multi-phase and multi-entity construction projects
Ensure accurate tracking of subcontractor costs, retainage, and change orders
Oversee accounting for owned real estate assets, including property-level reporting
Manage consolidated financial statements across construction and real estate entities
Ensure compliance with GAAP and industry-specific accounting standards
Maintain and optimize accounting systems including Sage 100 and Procure
Ensure accurate, timely, and meaningful financial reporting
Lead audits, tax compliance, and coordination with external CPA firms
Oversee HR and payroll functions, ensuring compliance and efficiency
Partner with leadership on compensation strategy, benefits, and workforce planning
Qualification
Required
CPA required
Proven CFO or senior financial leadership experience within construction and/or real estate
Strong background in construction accounting, project accounting, and cash management
Hands-on leadership style with strong technical accounting expertise
Experience with Sage 100 and Procure (or similar construction accounting systems)
Ability to operate strategically while remaining deeply involved in day-to-day financial operations
Strong leadership, communication, and partnership skills
