VCU Health is seeking an Administrative Services Specialist to provide executive level administrative support to Vice President(s) or Executive Director(s). The role involves ensuring that all administrative tasks are completed professionally and efficiently while also providing support to Division Directors and other senior executives as needed.

Responsibilities

Provides executive level administrative support to VCUHS Vice President(s) or Executive Director(s)

Ensures that all administrative assignments are carried out in a professional, timely and confidential manner and that the office operates efficiently and effectively

May also provide administrative support to Division Directors/staff and back-up coverage to other senior level executives as needed

Communicates and interacts with all levels of internal and external contacts

Oversees operational aspects of office

Coordinates/schedules all meeting and makes related arrangements

Types a variety of documents

Screens/refers calls

Handles purchase requisitions and travel reimbursements, etc

May supervise assigned staff or interns/students

Required

Minimum of four (4) years of previous secretarial/administrative work experience in an office setting

Previous experience with Microsoft Office applications and e-mail/calendaring

High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred

One (1) year of experience supervising staff

Two (2) years of previous experience performing accounting and/or budgeting functions in a corporate setting

Associate Degree in Business, Accounting or related field from an accredited program
