Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs

Responsibilities
Provides executive leadership and vision for Student Affairs Administration and Resources; supervises directors; mentors and develops staff; represents the Division on behalf of the Vice Chancellor; chairs SAFAC; and fosters a collaborative, student-centered leadership culture
Performs other duties as assigned
Coordinates divisional priorities, organizes workflows across multiple units, manages calendars and timelines for major initiatives, supports committee structures, and ensures alignment of resources, personnel, and processes to meet operational and strategic goals
Oversees day-to-day operations of assigned units; manages budgets and fiscal resources; ensures policy compliance; addresses operational challenges; supports Residential Life operations; and maintains continuity of services in the absence of the Vice Chancellor
Leads and advances divisional strategic planning initiatives; integrates student engagement and leadership development into long-term goals; supports data-informed decision-making; aligns divisional strategies with institutional priorities; and drives continuous improvement and innovation
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated ability to provide effective leadership, management, and oversight of complex student affairs units with a strong focus on student success, engagement, and leadership development
Comprehensive knowledge of student affairs programs, services, policies, and compliance requirements within a higher education environment
Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, initiatives, and deadlines simultaneously
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information, build collaborative relationships, and represent the Division effectively with various stakeholders
Earned Doctorate from an accredited institution in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs Administration, Educational Policy and Leadership Studies, or a closely related field
Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible professional experience in higher education, with demonstrated leadership experience in student affairs, including supervision of professional staff, operational management, grant writing, and strategic planning at the departmental, divisional, or campus-wide level
