Responsibilities

Coordinates the activities of one or more functional areas or project/ business/ technical units
Creates, edits, and reviews Microsoft Word and Excel logs and documents that may require basic understanding of life sciences
Gathers, collects, records, tracks, and verifies data and information from multiple sources and department originators
Coordinates project review, routing, and final approval of documents in print and electronic form
Tracks project progress in logs and may report on the progress of assignments or projects
Maintains and updates a variety of confidential and sensitive electronic and/or hard copy reports and records
Assists managers with travel requests, and scheduling internal and external meetings
Responds to routine verbal and written requests for information from internal and external sources
Prepares requested electronic and hard copy reports and presentations
Observes all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the company
Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices
Performs additional functions and other duties as assigned or required

Required

Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent and two or more years of experience in a field related to the specialized functional area or unit where assigned
Must demonstrate a broad understanding of assigned functional area principles, theories, and concepts
Must possess the ability to grasp new concepts quickly
Must possess the ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
Must possess strong organization skills and the ability to establish priorities
Must possess the ability to identify issues and solve routine problems
Must possess good analytical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to accurately document and report
Must possess full knowledge of computer operations and applications
Must possess the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
