Responsibilities

You are expected to be the primary engineering contact for the Editorial team, learning their workflows and recommending optimizations in partnership with Engineering and Product management
You will evaluate and integrate cutting-edge AI Content Creation services into LinkedIn’s enterprise ecosystem, focusing on delivering improvements to time-to-market and lowering our overall cost to create content
You are expected to produce high quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration
You will design, develop, and integrate cutting-edge media technologies. Act as primary management interface and escalation for all product system related issues
You are expected to provide mentorship and invest in organizational activities such as hiring committees
You will participate in a 12x7 oncall rotation with other members of the US-based team

Qualification

Required

BS (or higher, e.g., MS, or PhD) in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent technical experience
2+ years of industry experience

Preferred

BS and 5+ years of relevant work experience, MS and 4+ years of relevant work experience, or PhD and 2+ years of relevant work experience
Experience in designing and building infrastructure and web services at large scale
Expert knowledge of computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
Proven coding skills in Python or JavaScript/AJAX, database design and SQL, and/or knowledge of TCP/IP and network programming
Experience building web applications and services with IDEs, ant, junit, etc
Experience with relational databases (transactional and non-transactional), database architecture, and distributed transaction management
