Outreach Research Administrator
The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is a leading university dedicated to promoting health worldwide through advanced biomedical research and education. The Outreach Research Administrator will support principal investigators of the Memory and Aging Center's Community Outreach Program by managing programmatic activities and engaging with various stakeholders to ensure effective operational execution of studies and outreach activities.

Responsibilities
Provide direct support to the principal investigators of the UCSF Memory and Aging Center Community Outreach Program (COP)
Perform efficient integration of multiple complex programmatic activities
Work with a variety of people and organizations at UCSF and elsewhere
Monitor and resolve key operational aspects of observational studies and outreach and engagement activities
Analyze and resolve budgetary problems, interpret policies, and demonstrate solid subject matter knowledge
Exercise judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action
Assure accountability and stewardship of department resources in compliance with departmental goals and objectives
Oversee aspects of the administrative office in conjunction with the COP principal investigators
Interact with university officials, faculty, staff, and representatives from outside agencies
Assist in the preparation and coordination of Federal and non-federal grant applications from idea inception to initial submission and annual progress reports
Prepare and track purchasing and payment authorizations
Have input on staffing and project aims management to ensure proper execution of study objectives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
Ability to learn and develop understanding of applicable federal, state, local, sponsor and institutional regulations, policies, and guidelines
Ability to learn and develop understanding of applicable compliance requirements related to use of human or animal subjects in research, financial conflict of interest, biosafety, etc
Ability to thrive in a busy, high-volume, and deadline driven work environment that requires coordination of multiple activities and the judgment and flexibility to reprioritize to accommodate emergency requests. Detail oriented
Proficiency working with computer and information management systems (e.g. Ability to perform all commonly applicable functions in word processing and spreadsheet software.)
Ability to perform routine financial analysis and reporting
Ability to travel occasionally for project meetings
Organization and communication skills and customer service focus
Preferred
Project Management Certification (PMP, CAPM, CPM, or similar)
Experience with grant application procedures, personnel documentation, contract generation and subcontracting, preferably at UCSF
Demonstrated project management skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, prioritize projects and meet the demands of a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Adaptable to quickly changing priorities
