Grants Financial Analyst
Scion Nonprofit Staffing is conducting a search for a Grants Financial Analyst for a respected, mission-driven research organization. The Grants Financial Analyst will provide post-award financial management support for a diverse portfolio of externally funded research grants, ensuring strong financial stewardship, compliance, and timely reporting.

Responsibilities
Manage post-award financial administration for a portfolio of research grants
Set up grant accounts and budgets, including effort allocations and salary cap considerations
Develop PI-level forecasts, financial summaries, and variance analyses
Review and approve financial transactions, including personnel actions and requisitions
Prepare and submit required financial reports and deliverables (e.g., RPPRs, FFRs, cost reimbursement invoices, journal entries)
Review monthly financial reports for compliance and audit readiness and support virtual forecast review meetings
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated experience in post-award grants accounting and financial management
Strong working knowledge of federal grants compliance, including Uniform Guidance (CFR 200)
Ability to operate independently, prioritize deadlines, and ramp up quickly in a new environment
Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and time management skills
Clear, professional communication skills when working with PIs and internal partners
