Account Executive - (Building Automation Systems)
MOHR Talent is a well-established commercial mechanical and building systems organization specializing in HVAC and building automation solutions. The Sales Account Executive will be responsible for developing and managing a commercial portfolio focused on automation, controls, and smart building solutions, requiring a self-motivated professional who can independently build pipeline and close complex opportunities.

Responsibilities
Develop and manage relationships with commercial and industrial clients across multiple verticals
Identify opportunities for building automation and controls integration within HVAC and mechanical systems
Conduct client meetings, site walkthroughs, and technical discovery discussions
Prepare proposals, estimates, and RFP responses in coordination with engineering and operations teams
Own the full sales lifecycle from prospecting through close
Collaborate closely with internal controls engineers and project teams to ensure accurate scope and pricing
Maintain a healthy pipeline typically ranging from $3M–$6M, closing approximately $2M annually
Track activity, forecasts, and opportunities within CRM systems
Participate in industry events and networking activities to support pipeline growth
Qualification
Required
5+ years of B2B sales experience in building automation, HVAC controls, energy management, fire alarm, or related technical industries
Proven experience managing a commercial book of business of at least $2M
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints
Familiarity with AutoCAD or estimating/takeoff tools (for scope review, not design)
Experience selling into commercial or institutional environments
Existing client relationships or transferable book of business is a strong plus
Individuals who enjoy being on the road and managing face-to-face client relationships tend to perform best
Remote-based role with frequent local travel
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally
Occasional onsite meetings required
Comfortable working independently in a field-based sales role
Preferred
Degree preferred but not required for seasoned professionals with a strong track record
