Road Ranger, a growing multi-state travel center company, is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & Benefits Data Entry Clerk to join its Payroll Department. This role is responsible for the daily data entry of new hires, employee changes, benefits, and separations, while providing outstanding internal service to store-level employees regarding their payroll and benefit needs.

Responsibilities

Execute the timely and accurate processing of all data entry weekly for all store employees, including the data entry of new hires, separations, ADP assistance and payroll changes

Assist with distribution of benefit information and data entry of employee enrollment and terminations to include notification of information to carriers

Respond to external requests and demands such as employment verifications, garnishments, and other payroll and benefit related items

Provide outstanding internal service with employee questions and problem resolution

Special projects and other duties as needed

Required

Relevant work experience and/or college degree in Accounting, Payroll, or similar field required

Proficiency in Data Entry

Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Products including Word and Excel

Highly professional and ethical with uncompromising morals and integrity

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure prioritize and handle multiple competing tasks and demands simultaneously

Ability to maintain strict levels of confidentiality

Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions under pressure

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships

Must have the ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and laws related to employment activities

Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively in person, on the phone, electronically or through other means to individuals or groups
