TECHNICAL MISC (TEMP) IHP
The University of Michigan's Inclusive Storytelling Hub is seeking a creative, self-motivated video production and research assistant. This role involves partnering with other organizations to record, edit, and distribute videos of oral histories, focusing on the experiences of Middle Eastern residents in Dearborn, while also engaging in various aspects of production and creative editorial assignments.

Responsibilities
Record, edit, and distribute videos of oral histories
Involved in all aspects of production, including camera operation, audio recording, editing, and research into archival media
Create promotional videos, event recap videos, and documentary style work
Work directly with a supervisor on various videos and projects throughout the semester/academic year
Conduct interviews, b-roll footage, stock/archival searches and organizing, footage transfer and/or tape digitizing, and project template building
Qualification
Required
Experience in media production courses or in the field of audio/video production
Knowledge of video and audio production workflows
Familiarity with social media platforms and video content trends
Strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred
Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro or other video editing software
Proficiency with Zoom audio recorders
Proficiency with DSLR or mirrorless camera operation
Ability to stay with the position for the full academic year
