Project Manager / Clinical Placement Coordinator
The California State University is seeking a Project Manager / Clinical Placement Coordinator to support academic scheduling, clinical placement coordination, and student onboarding for undergraduate nursing programs. Responsibilities
Coordinate clinical placements and onboarding for undergraduate nursing students, including collecting and submitting required documentation to clinical partners
Serve as the primary liaison with hospitals and clinical sites to ensure compliance with onboarding and placement requirements
Schedule nursing courses and clinical sections and maintain student and master schedules throughout the academic year
Enter and update course, faculty, and scheduling information in PeopleSoft and open Canvas course shells
Support student registration, including special session coding, add codes, and communication of registration instructions
Reserve classrooms and coordinate space for courses and nursing-related events
Communicate scheduling and clinical information to students, faculty, and staff and resolve related issues as they arise
Qualification
Required
Completion of a high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents
Three (3) years of related office work experience
Ability to communicate with constituents in a professional and respectful manner
Comprehensive and detailed knowledge of the university infrastructure, policies, and procedures
Thorough mastery of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Excellent oral and written communication skills
Project management skills
Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures independently, and use judgment and discretion to act when precedents do not exist
Ability to troubleshoot most office administration problems and respond to all inquiries and requests related to the work area
Working knowledge of academic scheduling policies and procedures
Thorough knowledge of CMS/PeopleSoft functionality/reports
Ability to research issues related to schedule conflicts
Thorough knowledge of PeopleSoft reporting functions
Ability to generate and customize reports for semester chairs, director, curriculum coordinator, graduate and undergraduate coordinators
Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive communications, interpersonal, and confidential situations
Demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving and organizational skills
Working knowledge of registration processes and deadlines
Ability to assess broader perspectives and anticipate the impact of office administration problems and solutions in the front office
Ability to analyze operational and procedural problems and develop, recommend, and evaluate proposed solutions
Preferred
Baccalaureate Degree
One (1)–Two (2) years project management / office administration
