Compass Systems Inc. is seeking an experienced Cable Harness Technician for their Johnstown, PA Manufacturing facility. The role involves assembling multiple cable harnesses from schematic drawings and work instructions, using various tools and techniques to ensure product compliance and quality.

Responsibilities

Assemble multiple cable harnesses from schematic/technical drawings and work instructions

Manage harnesses with tie wrap/lacing, braided sleeves and heat shrink as necessary

Test manufactured products

Ability to read and understand drawings, schematic and work instructions

Ability to use drawings and schematic to manufacture cable harness assemblies

General knowledge of common techniques and practices for manufacture cable harness assemblies

Ability to verify measurements to validate part compliance

General computer data entry knowledge

Ability to work within a production team environment

Follow all company policies, and procedures including ISO/AS procedures

Required

HS Diploma and/or 1-3 years' experience in related field

IPC620, J-STD Certification

Ability to read and understand drawings, schematic and work instructions

Ability to use drawings and schematic to manufacture cable harness assemblies

General knowledge of common techniques and practices for manufacture cable harness assemblies

Ability to use the following tools, equipment, or software (wire strippers, crimpers, solder stations, heat gun, various hand tools, VOM, cable tester, tape measure, pull tester, etc.)

Ability to verify measurements to validate part compliance

General computer data entry knowledge

Ability to work within a production team environment

Ability to follow all company policies, and procedures including ISO/AS procedures

Technician will need to be able to lift up to 45lbs, have good manual dexterity of hands and eye sight to use a wide range of materials, tools and equipment
