Private Equity Portfolio Operations
Heritage Point Partners is a Los Angeles-based private equity firm focused on acquiring and building lower middle market businesses. They are seeking a Portfolio Operations Senior Associate/Vice President to drive value creation across their portfolio of companies, working directly with partners and management teams.

Responsibilities
Work directly with partners and portfolio company management teams
Take real ownership of the value creation initiative activities at the companies
Be the first hire in our value creation group; giving you a lot of run way if you are successful
Work with management to build and institutionalize budgets, reporting packages, and forecasting models
Stand up operating scorecards and KPI dashboards tailored to each company
Build integration playbooks with CEOs and functional leads
Drive monthly / quarterly business reviews and help CEOs focus on what matters
Develop and refine pricing models, unit economics, and profitability analysis
Own distinct value creation workstreams (e.g., pricing, vendor negotiations, salesforce effectiveness)
Identify and implement margin enhancement, SG&A efficiency, and working capital improvements
Support commercial initiatives such as outbound sales motions, A/B testing, and funnel diagnostics
Lead special projects: system implementations (ERP, CRM, dispatch), operational restructuring, org design
Partner with CEOs to define org needs and drive key hiring processes. We are business builders and we need to build A+ management teams at our companies
Identify, vet, and manage a network of 3rd party service providers (e.g., CFO advisors, digital marketers, CEO coaches, pricing consultants)
Improve internal processes across the portfolio: onboarding, training, compensation alignment, KPI discipline
Prepare and refine board packages and portfolio company updates
Maintain cap tables, waterfall models, and equity incentive plans
Support Fund II value creation strategy and playbook development
Help codify learnings across the portfolio into reusable HPoint frameworks
Use AI tools to accelerate analysis, automate workflows, and build operational leverage across companies
Experiment with new tools and pilots, we’re pushing the frontier, not catching up to it
Qualification
Required
3-5 years in total experience: 2-3 years in top tier management consulting plus one other 1-2 year experience (in a company; in a PE operating role; getting an MBA)
Exceptionally well-organized; we have a growing portfolio and your scope will grow along with it
A ‘nose for the money'; you can look at a P&L and know where to go to drive value
Curious, commercially-minded, and able to zoom out and see the forest, not just the trees
Strong communicator - comfortable presenting to partners and management teams
Thrive in lean teams and bias toward ownership (if something needs doing, you do it)
