They are seeking a highly motivated Structural Engineer to lead Mission Critical projects, managing project performance and client communications while ensuring proper design implementation and coordination with various stakeholders.
Design
Responsibilities
Manage mission critical projects and communicate with clients, technical drafting staff, and others outside the project team
Prepare preliminary designs for clients
Review building codes to assure proper implementation in design
Attend client meetings, coordinate with construction project managers, architect, civil, and mechanical engineers
Produce structural calculations for implementation with technical drafting staff during preparation of construction documents as well as construction
Produce construction ready design drawings coordinated with all disciplines to assure completeness and accuracy
Manage construction administration tasks such as shop drawing review, RFI responses, and coordination with the construction teams
Qualification
Required
BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering
5+ years of structural engineering building design experience, ideally with some experience in large-scale commercial and/or data center projects
Ability to prepare structural designs for steel, concrete, masonry, light gage steel, and understanding of foundation design
Proficiency using Revit independently to create construction level structural drawings is required
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
Professional Engineer (PE) licensure, or ability to obtain within 6 months
Preferred
Knowledge of analysis and design programs such as RAM Structural System, SAP2000, RISA, or another recognized 3D design packages
