Sr. Power Avionics Test Engineer, Amazon Leo

Responsibilities
Maintain safety and security standards
Follow established installation procedures
Operate material handling equipment safely
Install fiber and copper cabling
Complete equipment patching
Travel between data centers (personal transportation required)
Lead site teams and assign tasks
Train new team members
Provide constructive feedback
Drive project completion within deadlines
Act as a subject matter expert for installing fiber and copper cabling between equipment
Follow established cabling installation procedures
Maintain safety and security standards during all work activities
Operate material handling tools and equipment safely
Travel between data center sites (must have reliable transportation)
Work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, to meet deadlines
Act as a key point of contact (POC) across departments to support organizational goals
Provide direction to small teams and vendors
Qualification
Required
1+ years of computer networking experience
1+ years of Linux operating systems experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience in computer networking
Experience working with Linux operating systems
Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds
Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair
Technical aptitude with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Clear written and verbal communication
Ability to work independently and lead teams
Quick decision-making and effective prioritization skills
Must be able to lift/move 40 pounds independently; participate in team lifts for heavier items
Must be able to work in confined, elevated, and noisy environments
Must be able to stand and walk for 8+ hours daily
Must be able to navigate ladders, stairs, and gangways safely
Travel between data centers (personal transportation required)

Preferred
Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
Knowledge of programming or other scripting languages and coding skills (C/C++/C#, Node.JS, Java, Python, PHP, Ruby)
7+ years of experience designing hardware for automated test equipment or embedded electronic systems
Experience developing test rack SW
Experience in test system performance analysis
Experience in developing systems to rigorous quality, reliability, or safety standards (e.g., aerospace, automotive, medical, or defense)
