Manager, Strategic Sourcing, Technology Community

Responsibilities
Leads the development, communication, and execution of GSM Strategic Sourcing strategies and plans to procure products or services in alignment with business objectives and strategies for assigned global commodities
Develop and execute comprehensive strategic sourcing strategies for Research and Development, aligning procurement initiatives with organizational goals to drive innovation, cost efficiency, and value creation
Conduct detailed spend analysis to identify opportunities for increased spend under contract, ensuring cost optimization, supplier consolidation, and enhanced compliance
Works with the Business, GSSM, and Buyers on assigned global commodities to prepare and solicit competitive bids, quotations, and proposals with pertinent specifications, terms and conditions
Lead and manage a small team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to drive performance, achieve strategic goals, and ensure effective procurement operations
Conducts negotiations with potential and/or current suppliers to obtain maximum value
Develop and implement a comprehensive and robust cost reduction portfolio to drive financial savings
Oversee end-to-end contract management processes, including drafting, negotiating, reviewing, and ensuring compliance with contractual terms to mitigate risks and optimize valueOwns the Supplier Relationship Management process for assigned suppliers. This includes leading the development of supplier relationships and works with internal stakeholders and suppliers to continuously improve performance by developing robust key performance indicators
Responsible for assisting in developing and executing Shared Objectives in alignment with business objectives and strategies
Promote and encourage appropriate utilization of buying channels and procurement tools
Champions and advocates for the Global Buying Policy
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or a related field
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain operations and/or related field demonstrating proven track record of results
Strong leadership skills, including experience managing people and leading strategic and/or transformational initiatives
Negotiation expertise with the ability to negotiate complex agreements
Leverage strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence key stakeholders, drive alignment, and facilitate decision-making across all levels of the organization
Experience working in a matrix environment or on a cross-functional team
Preferred
Project Management experience with a focus on procurement or supply chain initiatives
Proficiency in should-cost analysis and strong analytical skills for supplier negotiations and value creation
Experience across multiple businesses, R&D technical expertise, or engineering
Familiarity with global manufacturing and business operations through direct work or project experience
Professional certifications such as ISM (Certified Professional in Supply Management, CPSM, Certified Purchasing Manager, CPIM, Certified Supply Chain Professional
