Responsibilities

The postdoctoral fellow will lead a rigorous in-depth project from conceptualization through the dissemination of results
They are expected to answer a fundamental question intended to fill a gap in the literature
They should aim to achieve both conceptual and technical advances in the field, develop skills as a mentor, and demonstrate confidence in communicating your science
Their daily activities include but are not limited to literature review, study design, equipment setup, performing experiments, data collection and analysis, meeting with the PI and other lab members, interaction with the Mount Sinai community, mentoring junior trainees, writing, and publication

Required

A doctoral degree in neuroscience, biology, psychology, engineering, computer science or other closely related field

Preferred

Research background in neural circuits of behavior, systems neuroscience or computational neuroscience preferred
Programming skills (e.g., MatLab, Python) preferred
