Principal Engr Sys Modeling Simulation Analyst & Developer (25-374)
Northrop Grumman is a leader in technological advancements and is seeking a Principal Engineer Systems Modeling Simulation Analyst & Developer to join their team in Colorado Springs, CO. This role involves providing technical expertise in Missile Defense modeling, simulation, and analysis, supporting critical operations for U.S. defense leaders.

Responsibilities
Plan and execute performance analyses of C2BMC and its interactions with current and planned future MD Elements
Document analysis results in reports and briefings
Present analysis results to a variety of audiences
Develop requirements for complex system models/simulations
Execute, test, evaluate, and troubleshoot MD-level, large-scale models/simulations
Develop, test, and evaluate threat scenarios
Develop tools to support analysis and development efforts in MATLAB and Python
Provide data to support decisions about system/element representations and modeling parameters used in large-scale simulations
Interact with members of other C2BMC Product Teams, C2BMC leadership, MDA customers, technical SMEs, and leadership of other MD Element programs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work independently, and the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment
Should have knowledge and hands-on experience in a Unix/Linux environment
Candidates are required to work on-site full-time due to the need to have access to a classified computing environment
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master's degree (preferred) in a STEM-related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or PhD in a related field with 1 year of relevant work experience
Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
Must have a solid engineering background across a variety of disciplines that support both conceptual and detailed system-level assessments, as well as a basic understanding of analysis techniques, planning, execution, and reporting
Technical specialty areas may include, but are not limited to, the following: Radar design and performance, Strategic and tactical missile threat characterization/performance/modeling, Simulation modeling of complex systems, Requirement and test condition decomposition

Preferred
Master's Degree in Systems Engineering
Certification: INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) Certification
Certification: Object Management Group Certified Systems Modeling Professional - Model Builder Fundamental (OCSMP - MBF)
Discrete event simulation modeling
Data analysis using Python and MATLAB
Exposure to tactical-strategic weapons and sensor message standards
Software development in a Linux and Agile environment using MATLAB (strongly preferred), Python (strongly preferred), and/or Java, Bash, etc
Experience with GIT environment is a plus
