Sr Principal Engineer Hardware – Site Engineer (26-015)
Northrop Grumman is a leading aerospace and defense technology company seeking a Sr Principal Engineer Hardware – Site Engineer. This role is essential to supporting the U.S. President and defense leaders by managing administrative tasks and projects related to the Missile Defense System's Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications program.

Responsibilities
Preparation and review of site drawings and plans
Review of the content and details of technical products
Acting as a technical interface between the Missile Defense National Team (MDNT) working-level counterparts and the MDA customer
Document work to be completed using Agile methodologies, update as required, and coordinate with team leadership on work completion
Develop Basis of Estimates (BOE) and Engineering Estimates (EE), providing hour estimates and justification for completion, along with installation material estimates
The successful Site Engineering deputy will be a member of a focused team that interfaces with peer-level team members, the Deployment Team Leadership, and NT management to ensure high-quality products are delivered on time and within available resources
May serve in project leadership roles and represent the organization as the prime customer contact on significant technical matters under contract
This position will also require the ability to work with a team, both in person and remotely
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred, along with 8 years of experience; or a Master's degree in a related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or 12 years of relevant experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree
Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start with the eligibility to be cleared at SCI
Willingness to travel up to 10% for business needs
Preferred
Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently in a team environment and require limited guidance
Knowledge of engineering concepts, principles, and techniques; proficiency in Microsoft Visio (other equivalent professional drawing programs desired) and Microsoft Excel; and a strong understanding of drafting and hardware engineering standards
Basic understanding of networks (VLANs, switch stacking, routers, etc.)
Supporting engineering tasks in the following areas: Technical-related meetings, Configuration control, Bill of Materials development, Provide drafting and design engineering during the system design, development, and deployment activities, Control and manage all drawings for the program, Completing required documentation and drawings in accordance with the Systems and/or Hardware Engineer's direction, Work with fielding and mission-success organizations to ensure timely and accurate documentation
Working knowledge of Agile methodologies
Previous experience in: Systems Engineering/Hardware Engineering, Fluent in the Microsoft Office suite, Project management
Strong communication skills with a proactive mindset
C2BMC experience highly desired
